Electroforming
The method is the creation of products by building copper on a base of high-strength reinforced plastic. The thick metal layer makes the handle even more durable. According to tactile sensations, such fittings are identical to metal ones: it pleasantly cools the hand, as if it were entirely cast from metal. However, thanks to the plastic base, the handle has a much lower weight than a cast one, which means that the possibilities of its use are much wider.

This method of production is ideal for creating fittings of large and very large sizes. The light weight of the finished product allows you to save the life of the door hinges and avoid distortions of the doors when opening.

In our work, we copy real particles of nature such as wood, stone and other elements that have the right texture. Step by step , the product acquires the necessary relief. Each handle door is unique, it is impossible to repeat the same pattern with accuracy.

There is the concept of “dendrites” in electroplating - these are small growths, tubercles, roughness on the metal surface that form during the build-up process. In industrial production, they would be considered defective, but in artistic crafts, they are an element that further strengthens the product and makes it unique.
Casting
The process involves pouring molten metal brass into pre-prepared molds.

The main feature of this method is the predictable result. Casting allows you to produce the required number of handles that are as similar as possible (however, they can still differ slightly, for example by the depth of the pattern).

Even small handles feel confident in the hand because brass has a high density. The relief and shape of the handle can be any, as well as with electroforming.

Which method to choose?

Both technologies are self-sufficient, but can be used together, while one of them will be the main one, and the second one will be auxiliary. The choice of method is always individual and depends on the complexity of the door handle, its size, purpose and your wishes.

Beforehand, we always discuss which method will be optimal in relation to the client's request. If you need massive, but lightweight handles, choose electroforming. Casting is suitable in case you need a batch of almost identical products.

Why do we use these methods?

Nature is unique and diverse. You will not find two completely identical leaves, stones, textures and structures. So both production methods allow you to make exclusive products that are not like any other. This originality will be the touch that makes your home yours.
Color

We can leave the handle in the “natural” color of the metal, or we can cover it with patina to add extra depth to the relief. The presence or absence of patina will not affect the operation and durability of fittings. Both of these products will "live", change under the influence of environment if not to cover its surface with a protective varnish. However, in some cases we still recommend using patina. We'll tell you why.

Patination is carried out using special compounds that accelerate the natural process of metal aging. Having achieved the desired color and pattern, we can slow down or stop this process. In the first case, it will last for years: the handle gradually changes, the material “ripens”. The product will acquire new shades - darken in the recesses and lighten in those places where it is touched most often. Such accessories adapt to the character of the house where it is installed, and its owners are directly involved in the formation of a unique pattern. Watching these changes over the years is very interesting. In order to stop the patination process and preserve the desired color and patina pattern, we cover the product with varnish, limiting the impact of the environment.

Another feature of patina (unlike paint) is that even when applying the same composition to identical handles, the pattern always turns out different. Even outwardly similar products will still be distinguishable from each other.

Certain types of patina should be covered with a protective varnish.

We discuss in detail with the client what result he will get in the end. We tell about the possibilities of production, the final processing of finished handles and how they will change over time.

We are inspired by everything connected with the primeval element. The used production technologies help us recreate natural textures, and you can feel nature by touch.
